How do I access my course?

How do I access my course?

After you complete the application and course registration process, you can access online courses by logging into UF’s e-Learning website at any time. Go to http://elearning.ufl.edu/ and select “e-Learning Login” to enter your Gatorlink username and password.

You will not be able to access your course until the start date listed in the course registration materials. Some course content will not be immediately available to you. Instructors may open and close access to lessons according to the schedule posted in the course syllabus.

How are online classes structured?

Classes can be structured by module, week, lesson, assignment, or any other way your instructor determines.  There may also be live lectures administered through Adobe Connect where you can interact with your instructor and classmates.

Can I directly communicate with my instructor?

Absolutely!  Our instructors are available via Canvas or email to answer and questions, comments, or concerns you may have.  Their preferred method of contact is often listed on the syllabus.

Are UF professors and instructors teaching the courses?

Yes!  Our professors and instructors are hired and employed by University of Florida.

Are there any scheduled lectures or meetings?

Courses are typically asynchronous, which means there is not certain time or day when classes meet.  You’ll learn on your own schedule!

How will I submit my coursework and take exams?

You’ll typically submit coursework and exams through Canvas, UF’s learning management system.  More information can be obtained on they syllabus or by contacting your instructor.

How will I get to interact with my classmates?

Depending on the course, you’ll engage in assignment discussion boards, group work, or other modes of online communication.

Will my transcripts indicate that this is an online degree?

No, UF transcripts will not indicate that the degree or courses were completed online.

Can I participate in UF student activities or use UF academic resources?

Participation in student activities and engagement with resources will enhance your student experience, even when you are a distance student.  From internship/job search resources to conflict mediation, UF provides online students with a variety of resources to support your academic journey.  Visit the Office of Distance Learning website to view the extensive listing of support resources available to those receiving an education at a distance.
